Home Science

Home Science, or the science of a home, includes all the things that concern the person, home, family members and resources. It is the education for better living and the core of this education is the family ecosystem. It also deals with reciprocal relations between the family and its natural and man-made environments. It aims at getting maximum satisfaction for the person and their family members through the efficient and scientific use of your resources. It gives the person all the knowledge of the scientific procedures involved in making a home beautiful.

Home science About the Department

The University Department of Home  Science ,Vinoba Bhave University ,Hazaribag,established in the 1992 ,after bifurcation from Ranchi University That time department was located in K.B.W,Collage Hazaribag the department has been located in Hazaribag The department has been relocated in the Vigyan Bhawan of the present sindur campus in 2002 Dr. Sabita Sahay was the Founder Head of the department Subcequntly Dr.GayatriSahu, Dr. Renu Bose, by rotational headship. At present there are five permanant teachers.  The research  scholar and P.G. Topper student have also enggaged few classes in the year 1994 the first batch pass out  , one student of first batch have successfully qualified and BET and was inducted as lecturer.Total three student qualified BET ,two Qualified NET and many students after passining from this university department have joined as faculty in diffirent constitute and affiliated college large number of students have joined as a teacher in primary ,middle and high school in private and government school. Some students working in Banking sector as a P.O., and clerk. Some are C.D.P.O.,and large number of students are Supervisor in Unicef and ICDS.Many students are enggaged in N.G.O. and Health sectors
